Stop laughing!  Yes, i realize it has been, well, a rreeeaaaalllllyyyy long time since a post was made here.  But after talking with some fibery folks and getting a lot of various inspirations, here we go again!

SIFAF2011 was terrific! nice crowd, fantastic weather and SO much fiber and color everywhere!! Joined by several new vendors and a 4H Llama club, this year set a new high in fun and activity!  And if you thought this year was fun - just you wait ... or even better, join us for planning the fun!  If you would like to help plan and enjoy SIFAF2012 from the other side of the rope, leave your email here or send a note to FibereXchangeGuild AT yahoo DOT com and we will keep you up to date on all the fun!

The summer didn't just fly, it was more of a space/time zippy thingy.  I've sadly neglected the blog, but not Project 2010.  New pics to come in a day or two.  Handspun from around the region ... and fantastic projects, too!!

More on the way for you!!

What a way to start the fiber festival season with terrific weather in Greencastle!  WOW, great sunshine :)  A wonderful crowd of fiber fiends spent the weekend browsing, buying, discussing, talking and taking in all the fibery goodness :)

nemesis
blueness
The first two yarns are complete!  Top is Nemesis - fiber from Susan at The Trading Post for Fiber Arts, second is Blueness - fiber from Luna at Blueball Mountain Spindle and Needleworks.  Both spun by Victoria at various fXg gatherings.  Join us at a gathering and take a few spins on the wheel OR join the cause and spin at your leisure - let me know and i'll get you some fiber!

We are taking suggestions for items to craft from the handspun yarns.  If you have particular patterns or general ideas, leave a comment, drop and email or visit the Ravelry.com group to share!

Remember that we gather at Hobknobb in Floyds Knobs the first Saturday every month and Grinny Possum the third Saturday every month.  At this week's Grinny Possum Gathering we will be discussing and starting charity projects - join the fun!

Project 2010 dying and spinning has begun!  There are still batts and roving unassigned - so it is NOT TOO LATE to participate :)  If you want to help spin, drop a note or come to a gathering in February.  If you just want to help a little (hehe) come to a gathering and take a few whirls on the spinning wheel - no matter if you have never tried before or are a seasoned pro :)  All hands welcome!!

Remember every month:

first Saturday @ Hobknobb at 2pm

third Saturday @ Grinny Possum at 1pm
